Spun Records
Spun Records was founded by the infamous G.M.S. (Growling Mad Scientists) in 1999 and became the first label in the Ibiza - Spain releasing Trance music. With the first two releases: “GMS Vs Systembusters”, and “Genetic Process”, Spun had firmly established itself in the scene as a label of high quality and exclusive releases.
Specializing in high fidelity sonic spectrums, Spun Records have proven over the years to be a key player in the International Music arena. Releasing such hits as "Juice" and "Rounders" which procure staggering results in multiplying attendants. These successes have made GMS headliners around the globe for over ten years.
Not only did Huge party organizers continually book spun artists, but also Hollywood showed keen interest when they played Spun music in the blockbuster movies “Man On Fire” (2004) and "Domino" (2005) both Directed by Tony Scott.
Over the years there have been many Spun events around the world. For instance from the famous Freedom Festival, a four day event in Portugal that featured some of the best live acts & Dj’s in the trance scene with over 8000 people in attendance, all the way to the massive festival called "Spun Fields" in Japan.
Also, there has been jam packed Spun events right at home in Ibiza. Starting with monthly Spun parties at the world largest club "Club Privilege" in the summer of 2005, featuring Spun's finest artists.
The other highlight of 2005 was the opening of Nice Dreams Music (NDM), as a sub label of Spun. NDM is a diverse mix of ambient /chill /electro/club & house music. With the two release’s “Multiple Organisms” (2005) & “Temple of Science” (2006) receiving great reviews by the ambient & chill-out music scene. With these releases out and more in the works, its looks like a nice dream in the making....
With artists spanning the globe promoting the 30 CD's (150, 000 + CD sales) & 2 DVD's, since the start of Spun Records in 1999 it has become a beacon for countless others.
In 2007, Electrick Records was formed. The newest label in the spun label group, founded by G.M.S. & Perplex with the support of the Spun Records / Nice Dreams Music crew. It is serving as an outlet for their electro and house variants that have become such popular music styles. Rising from the club scene electro has become quite popular in North America and Europe, reaching a broad spectrum of listeners in the main stream.
As part of the Spun Label group they have stuck to their high grade sound quality, remaining one of the top premier dance record labels in the world cruising at dazzling heights.
